Improving health and well being

Access to safe and affordable housing is critical for members of often excluded and vulnerable populations who are working hard to get and keep jobs. In the 1980s, Greyston was a pioneer in introducing the concept of affordable permanent housing for individuals who are homeless, combined with on-site tenant services.

Issan House is a 35-unit facility that provides supportive housing to formerly homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Most residents also cope with mental illness and addiction.

Our Services

Issan House residents get support with case management and benefits administration. They also have access to life skills training, advocacy, appointment escorts, and three nutritious meals daily.

40-50 people living with HIV/AIDS benefit from having a safe and supportive place to live at our Issan House.
